Grief forces us to remember the things that matter most and heal in ways beyond what we could have imagined.
Grief is a natural part of the human experience. The pain of grief can be fragmenting. We are forced to collect the broken pieces of our Self and put them back together - often in new and surprising ways. How we experience grief is as unique as we are. In it’s process it’s common to feel as is we have lost ourself - our beliefs and mere existence are questioned, and for many people it feels as if the ground has dropped out from under them.
Grief fundamentally changes our perception of the world and who we are. Yoga Therapy for grief helps re-establish our foundation and re-connect us with ourselves within the new reality of our life. Yoga for grief is a very healing practice but we don’t aim to “fix” the pain of grief. We cannot remove grief, but we can change our relationship with it and adjust to the new reality of our life.
Yoga Therapy for Grief teaches us to be “in” grief while we navigate a new reality. It moves us towards a wholehearted and connected life.
