Yoga for Fertility: How Yoga Can Help Prepare Your Body for Conceiving
In this course, we'll also look at the emotional impact of infertility and what you can do to support your body and mental health on this journey. The course includes 2 webinars and a practice suitable regardless of where you are on your fertility journey and for all stages of cycles. This course is a great starting point for anyone who is struggling with infertility and interested in yoga. You will learn how yoga is uniquely suited to reduce stress and help you become pregnant; best practices and contradictions for different stages of your cycle; and you will be able to safely and confidently attend any group yoga class with an understanding of how you can make the class “fertility friendly”.

WELL WOMEN DROP-IN MEDITATION GROUP
A weekly guided meditation circle. The class includes a short movement practice and heart centered guided meditation followed by silent integration. This is a very accessible introduction to meditation. The group will also appeal to women who have a personal practice and want to experience the power of collective energy.

trauma informed yoga
These classes are based on the principles of the yoga for anxiety & trauma class series. Through mindful movement and breath we calm the nervous system and make space for deeper healing. Students are encouraged to find comfort and autonomy in their practice - using the body as a tool for developing agency and loving kindness towards themselves.
All of the practices are carefully selected based on the individuals in the group, incorporating the best practices for trauma. Time is given during each practice to observe and build awareness. After each practice participants are encouraged to observe their energy, body sensations, thoughts and emotions. Students who already practice yoga have said it gives them a whole new perspective on how to make their practice healing.

Each class includes a short talk on issues related to fertility, optimal poses for conception and stress reduction. Consideration is given for where you are in your cycle and modification during ART treatments.

SLOW YOGA
These classes are for anyone who enjoys a slower paced class with mindful transitions, a gentler flow, smaller class size and an attentive teacher. In a Slow Yoga class emphasis is given to proper alignment in order to correct repetitive patterns, breath awareness to increase mobility & reduce stress, and to developing self-awareness. All classes are trauma informed.
Each class incorporates a complete sequence of poses including: proper warm-up, standing, hip openers, twists, back bends, forward bends, balances, inversions and relaxation.
Options and modifications are given to suit all body types, chronic conditions (i.e., heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis) and address injury recovery and limitations (i.e., knee, back and neck pain, joint dysfunction, muscle strain and tightness).

*This class is suitable for beginners or anyone interested in practicing more basic poses and breath practices. We spend time exploring modifications and making every pose comfortable.
**This class includes all of the principles of a slow yoga class and is suited for students will some yoga experience. You should know basic breath practices and have a sense of how to modify based on their unique body and circumstance.
